The surroundings of our villa have something for everyone. Charming villages, sea and nature are all close by. Whether you enjoy walking, visiting local markets, or simply relaxing with a drink in the sun – everything is within easy reach.
Turre – approx. 3 min
In the village centre you’ll find a traditional church, a local market on Fridays and small bars where time seems to stand still. It’s a glimpse of authentic Andalusian village life. You can also find your daily essentials here – bakery, supermarket and pharmacy.
Mojácar Pueblo – approx. 6 min
More than just a beautiful white village, Mojácar has a rich Moorish history. Visit the small Museo Casa de la Canana https://en.andalucia.org/listing/museo-casa-de-la-canana/17417101/ or wander through the narrow streets with their Arabic details and artisan shops. On the squares you’ll find lovely cafés and terraces with sea views. Authentic and lively, yet relaxed in atmosphere.
Mojácar Playa – approx. 8 min
Along the coastline you’ll find wide sandy beaches with sunbeds and beach bars, as well as quiet coves between the rocks. Perfect for swimming, snorkelling or an evening stroll along the promenade.
Garrucha – approx. 10 min
Garrucha is all about fishing and good food. In the morning you can watch the fishing boats return with the day’s catch, and in the evening the promenade comes alive with locals enjoying the sea breeze and sunset. The harbour is lined with excellent seafood restaurants serving gambas rojas, grilled fish and tapas with sea views.
Vera Playa – approx. 15 min
Known for its natural dunes and long sandy beaches. Quieter than Mojácar, with clear waters and beautiful coastal walks.
Bédar Mining Walk – approx. 12 min
A wonderful walking route through the old mining area above Bédar. https://turismoalmeria.com/sendero/ruta-de-la-mineria-bedar-sl-77?utm You’ll pass former railway lines, tunnels and 19th-century ruins, with impressive views over the valley and the coast. In the village you’ll also find a small visitors’ centre explaining the mining history of the region – a great combination with lunch in Bédar.
Villaricos – approx. 25 min
A small coastal village with an authentic Spanish feel, a fishing harbour and a lively Sunday market. Popular with snorkellers and divers thanks to its clear waters and rocky seabed.
Cuevas de Sorbas – approx. 30 min
The gypsum caves are not only natural wonders but also of cultural interest. Guided tours reveal how people once lived and built their homes with local gypsum and clay. https://www.cuevasdesorbas.com/
Carboneras & Cabo de Gata – approx. 30–40 min
An authentic coastal town on the edge of the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park. Here you’ll find unspoiled beaches, crystal-clear water and spectacular landscapes – perfect for a day full of nature and sea.
For those who like to venture a bit further, there’s even more to discover within one to two hours’ drive. From desert landscapes to mountain villages, from historic cities to snow-capped peaks – each trip reveals another side of Andalusia.
Tabernas – approx. 30 min

Níjar – approx. 45 min
A picturesque village full of craft workshops, ceramics and textiles. Its narrow streets, whitewashed houses and viewpoints make it one of the most charming places in the province of Almería.

Lorca – approx. 1h15
A historic city with an impressive castle, a medieval Jewish quarter and museums dedicated to the colourful Holy Week processions.
Guadix – approx. 2h
Famous for its cave houses, many of which are still inhabited. You can visit one of the caves and enjoy wide views over the Sierra Nevada.
Sierra Nevada – approx. 2h15
An impressive mountain range with hiking trails in summer and ski slopes in winter. Ideal for nature lovers or a refreshing day in the mountains with panoramic views.
Granada & the Alhambra – approx. 2h30
One of Spain’s most beautiful cities. Visit the world-famous Alhambra, https://www.alhambra-patronato.es/ stroll through the Albaicín quarter and enjoy views of the snow-covered Sierra Nevada. A perfect mix of culture, history and atmosphere.

A photogenic natural area with white gypsum hills and quiet walking trails. Less known, but stunningly beautiful at sunrise or sunset.

A charming mountain village with an impressive castle and panoramic views over the valley of Los Vélez. The drive there leads through a wonderfully unspoiled landscape.
Murcia – approx. 1h30
An elegant city with a baroque cathedral, lively squares and excellent gastronomy. Less touristy than Granada, yet equally charming and authentic.
